How Do You Build Big Muscles?
Build Big Muscle
For anybody that is looking to build big muscle, there is always one question they ask: how do I build big muscle fast? The big problem for anybody that is just starting out with body building is, where do they begin? There is so much conflicting information available that you can get a huge case of information overload and you become confused as to where exactly to start and what to do. The 4 steps below will set you on your way to build big muscles.
Step 1
You must have an effective weight training program. Unless you have a job that is extremely physically intensive, such as a labourer, you are going to have to lift heavy weights to build big muscle. You will also need to do this regularly to get any real results, as building muscle won't happen overnight. If you want to build muscle, you have to give your existing muscles a reason to change and to grow. This is done by forcing them to work to their maximum, through lifting weights. You don't have to spend endless hours in the gym, but you do have to commit to a regular weight lifting session.
Step 2
Push your muscles to their maximum. When you first begin with weight lifting and strength training, you will probable notice that you build muscle fast. This is because you are working out muscles that haven't been used like this before, and they grow rapidly. Many people see this and think that they don't need to keep pushing themselves to the limit, as their muscles seem to be growing at a fast rate. But they will become accustomed to the strains being put on them and will stop growing, as you are giving them no reason to do so. So you need to be constantly increasing the amount of weight you lift, so that your muscles know they have to keep strengthening and growing.
Step 3
If you want to build big muscles, you need to be lifting heavy weights with a low amount of reps. You may see other guys in the gym doing sets of 30-40 reps, but this isn't going to build muscle mass. This will only maintain and strengthen the muscle that is already there. If you want to really build muscle, you should be using enough weight to only allow you to do 8 to 12 reps each set, and your muscles should be struggling to do the last rep in every set. This is how you get really build big muscle.
Step 4
Mix it up. If you do the same thing over and over again, your body will get used to this and won't have to work that hard to complete them. You will notice that if you do the same exercises all the time and in the same order, you will start to be able to do them pretty easily. This will really hinder you in your efforts to build big muscles. So to avoid this, have a few exercises for each body part and mix them up in your workout routine. Don't let your muscles become accustomed to your workouts and make them guess what is going to be required of them next.
